PostSubject: Hello   Mon Jul 06 2009, 21:20

Hi i'm Greg Stearn 21 y.o.a from stowmarket, suffolk. 6ft2 and i liken myself to a rockstar version of stig of the dump. I'm new to register but some of you will know me already as i've been to a few shows with the club as caddy lukes tag-a-long passenger. Well no more after years of persuasion from caddyluke i've finally bought a mk1 gti, and jacked in the dare i say it, japscrap nissan 200sx, and honda civic vti's.(Don't flame me i was young and foolish!) I think its safe to say i'm VAG converted. Look forward to seeing people at the next meet when the gti should be ready to go.

Thanks for the welcomes guys! lol! at darkside comments and vtec pics. Not that i'm defending jap scrap but my 200sx never died not the engine anyway the diff and suspension went tho! My honda's where fun and amazingly reliable, but ultimately nowhere near as fun as the golf. Also they were stupidly expensive for parts. Golf spares are peanuts in comparison and there just so well made. Always been into dubs my dad used to be a salesman at northgate vw in bury st. edmunds until he sadly died, and he unthused about them. Just started from there really and when i first saw a mk1,2 golf and corrado aswell. The vw scene is so much more chilled than the jap one upmanship scene and alot more cohesive some jap cars could look really cool and then on the other side of the spectrum you'd get tarted up civic hawaii's with 7" bore exhausts and performance emblazoned all over them. The atmos at a vw show is just so much more relaxed and friendly. Fendubbers club meets are a laugh as are early starts at brampton hut to convoy to shows!!!

And yes i'm the paint roller man, i didn't think you guys at summer gti would forget that in a hurry somehow. DOH!
