 Mk3 Golf Radiator Pipes...interchangable??? HELPPPP!!!

I just got a new slam panel from a different engined golf to mine and the radiator is bigger...mine was a 1.8 one and this is about 3-4 inches bigger...is it from a 2.0 8v???...maybe a diesel???

If so can i just buy some of the bigger hoses from a parts place???
