without looking at my engine bay or ecu, does anyone know how difficult it is to remove the ecu from an mk2 8v golf gti and put a chip in.

common sense tells me i gotta pull the ecu apart to put the chip in

any suggestions?

ECU will be in the drip tray area of ya car. Unclip it from the large plug and then remove the black cover. You should then be able to see where the chip goes!!

turned out to be very easy and not to fiddly!

think it might of made everything a bit smoother. its a shame ive only got a 120mph clock cuz thats no good on the m6 racing a 16v, must of been 125-130ish, which cant be bad
