| Hi, any help appreciated. My golf gti mk1 cabby has a flashing low pressure oil light. I have changed the sender unit and it still flashes. Had a compression test done and all ok. Does anyone know somewhere/someone who is good with VW auto electrics please? Need to get this sorted, just incase the engine is going to seize

| | cant help you on this, but that mystery wire behind the headlight, im fiarly sure its the outside air temperature sensor for the mfa. just a thought |

| Cheers Dan. having it oil pressure tested this morning. Will probably get another pump this afternoon :-)
and filter/oil + sump gasket and gasket plug

| Oil pressure is fine, thank goodness! Now I need a new set of clocks! Cheaper than an oil pump  . |

| iv ad this sort off prob on mine. also the main head light bulb flickers. again changed all the sensors but then found out could b a voltage stabilizer behind the clocks. only cost a few quid but pain 2 fit  i thought off new clocks but with mots on dvla data would it matter ???

| I've had this problem on mine. Mine has an oil pressure gauge in it, so I knew that wasn't the problem. I changed the clocks over last night, problem solved.As for for MOT's I'm not 100% sure, but I would have thought that if you had someway of proving that the clocks had been changed for a genuine reason, with a record of the mileage on both clocks, then wouldn't that be ok?

| There should be no problems changing your clocks...just take pictures of the new and old clocks side by side wih a date on the pictures, and then one of each set of clocks...just keep these for your records.
