righty oh then more progres on a dish, didnt get a before shot unfortinatly! was kurbed most of the way round as you will tell from the pics. looked like it was driven along hard too! massive indent gash in it too, hence a tiny flat spor from that in a small place. anyways all was filed down then weled most of the way round the dish, filed then a softer file then sanded with two different papers, still loads to do but this is the progress after an hour just over.

the golden colour is where the lip has been welded, can see how much it needed due to the amount of kurbing!

filed down

and after filed the sides and had a quick whip over with some sand paper

still couple holes to be filled in but its getting there now, then have so remove all the laquer of the dish then shiney shiney polish time

good work there, how many hours in it do you reckon and will it work out cheaper than buying a new dish? What did you do about the outer edge, spin it down on a lathe?

probs looking at half the price tbh dude, special for a 17" dish, 16" rs dish's at 3" wide i see on ebnay for like £180! all sanded by my fine hands and a file mate, can be turned down on the mill if i wanted it perfect and just on a lathe and sand it but wont turn it on just rock it back and forth
