Head gasket went last night so i wasnt a happy bunny, when i stopped sulking and realised it was a gift from god i got on with the job. Had the head off within an hour and inspected it, can still see honing marks in the block so i reckon its been rebuilt and the carbon buildup is very very little. Found out the head has had a light porting job on the intake side and has a GS2H kent cam which made me pretty happy. Head is now going to have some very heavy port and polishing done intake and exhaust side, gonna polish up the head so it looks like new, decoke, polish the valves up etc so gonna have some very heavy headwork, i figure while its mostly in bits im gonna get my flywheel lightened, maybe a new clutch, paint my block, gearbox and do some work in the bay. Gonna get it all done and sorted for the bury meet hopefully so watch this space for progress pics.

Edit: Oh and of course fit my lovely new stainless 4 branch(cheers lewis)

I believe there was only 500

My G is sprayed in the same colour very nice Cool

really? I might have to look into it, i knew they was rare but didnt know they was that rare.

did you buy it from a guy called chaz/christian from willingham ways. i know he had one for sale...

and yea that is defo one of my fav mk2 colours, you wouldn't dare rat it!

Nah bought it from some guy in leicster that i found on ebay.

Yeah i love the colour dude thats the main reason i bought it, and nah deffo dont wanna go rat, actually enjoying looking after it and polishing it which is weird lol

Has to be one of my fav mk2 colours too. Right after nevada beige. Looks clean tho all it needs now is a nice set of rims.

well fixed my head and just about managed to get to the cambridge meet with a few people left there. Heres what it looks like all built up :



Also new rimmage was longggggggggggggggg overdue as those bkracing things looked awful, so after changing my mind 6 million times(sorry lee) i went for the rims i always wanted in the first place since seeing them. So here they are.

They suit that really well. Not sure about the dice caps tho its all about the chrome caps.
